Carmel died, Friday August 22, 5:26 am Thanks to all who made this wish a Success!!!
UNITY'S FIRST 2009 WISH. MICHELLE M. OF CONNELLSVILLE, PA. CONTACTED UNITY WITH A WISH THAT WAS 2 FOLD. MICHELLE HAS BREAST CA, WITH METS TO LIVER, LUNG AND BONE. MICHELLE WISHED FOR A PORTABLE MINI-CONCENTRATOR FOR HER 02 NEEDS, BECAUSE THE 02 TANKS WERE PROHIBITING HER FROM A QUALITY OF LIFE SHE WAS ACCUSTOMED TOO, AND DID NOT ALLOW HER TO TRAVEL FAR FROM HOME WITHOUT BRINGING MANY 02 TANKS WITH HER. SHE ALSO NEEDED A SCOOTER BECAUSE HER BONES ARE BRITTLE FROM THE CANCER AND HER STAMINA IS ALSO AFFECTED. UNITY IN CONJUNCTION WITH "HOMETOWN OXYGEN" MONROEVILLE, PA WAS ABLE TO OBTAIN A MINI-CONCENTRATOR FOR MICHELLE'S USE. SHE WAS UNABLE TO RECEIVE THIS BEFORE BECAUSE HER PHYSICIAN SAID IT WAS A LUXURY AND NO ONE WOULD PRESCRIBE HER ONE PRIOR TO UNITY A JOURNEY OF HOPE GETTING INVOVLED. NOW SHE CAN TRAVEL TO SEE HER SISTER IN SOUTH CAROLINA AND VISIT A CASINO OR 2 AND MAYBE RIDE HER HARLEY! UNITY IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE BLESSED HELP FROM LYNN SEFCHIC AT MOBILITY WORKS IN MONROEVILLE, PA. SECURED A SCOOTER FOR MICHELLE'S USE. NOW SHE CAN TRAVEL AND GO WHERE SHE NEEDS TO WITHOUT THE SCARE OF NO OXYGEN OR FALLING OR OBTAINING SPONTANEOUS FRACTURES.

UNITY'S newest DME addition was given to Michelle M. an Invacare Zoom 220 scooter for her use. Thanks to Lynn Sefchick for her assistance and Eric Mansfield from Mobility Works in Monroeville for his generous donation of the SCOOTER to UNITY.
George "BILL" B. needed and wanted to "just go home" after receiving the news of his disease and progression. Destined to stay in a Pittsburgh hospital UNITY arranged for transportation with FAYETTE EMS and also with the support and guidance of Dr. William Kozak. Bill is now coming home to spend the rest of his days at "HOME".

| Barbara B. wished to move closer to her son in Philadelphia. UNITY combined with Enterprise Rent-A-Car to transport her from Uniontown, PA to The Keystone Hospice House in Wyndmoor, PA. As you can see this hospice house is a beauty and the ride was just as nice. Barb and John sung all the way listening to Big Band Music. BARBS LAST WISH WAS A SPECIAL ONE, SHE PASSED AWAY 4/8/2009.
